Should You Be Saddle Hunting?

Saddle Hunting has become all the rage these days. There’s an overabundance of info on the interwebs on how-to, which is better, and why you should. But should you really be saddle hunting?

Saddle hunting is for run-and-gun hunting whitetail deer hunters. Usually, archery equipment is the weaponry used. If you don't fall into that category, well maybe you can be the pioneer who finds out how to hunt dry land lions from a saddle or something similar.

The biggest hurdle for most hunters in transitioning to a saddle from a treestand is how to set up and how to shoot from one. It’ll become second nature, but from the outside looking in, it may seem like Circ de Solei. Check out the tips in the featured video above to get a better understanding of mobile hunting.

We’re big fans of the Tethrd Phantom Elite Saddle Kit. It’s ultra-lightweight and has everything you need to get started hanging from trees. Shop now while it's 15% off for our Black Friday Sale.

(Note: you can actually use saddle hunting to hang on trees for a more stealthy approach, not just sit on them like a mule. Yeehaw, cowboys.)
