00:00:00
Speaker 1: One hundred and ninety pounds, So that's it.
00:00:03
Speaker 2: I have that's not counting the barbell, and I have another set of weights to the bottom.
00:00:07
Speaker 3: Sorry, two hundred and thirty. You got to just put your sets of weights together.
00:00:11
Speaker 2: Just what listen, Hey, we all just agreed that we took our list and then we added to.
00:00:15
Speaker 3: Yeah, but you could still fix your list, all right, keep going ahead. I have to rearrange my one hundred and ninety pounds. Just whatever, what are the other one? When I get that, I know you need to at least consolidate that. You can't be like, I got one hundred ninety pounds of weight here, I've already read one thing.
00:00:31
Speaker 4: I've only done one eighteen things, and you're like, hey, yeah, pounds thing.
00:00:36
Speaker 2: The next thing could be the next set of plates.
00:00:38
Speaker 1: All right.
00:00:38
Speaker 5: Let's so you got two different kinds of plates, all right?
00:00:40
Speaker 2: The oh, I got two different stacks of plates. This is one hundred and ninety pound stack, and there's another stack.
00:00:47
Speaker 3: All right.
00:00:48
Speaker 2: Let me get to the second item. Then the second I might be the plates other plates. Okay, you get there. The second item is a rogue slice slash.
00:00:55
Speaker 3: See you're just ruined it.
00:00:59
Speaker 1: Out here the stakes are real. Effective preparation starts with fitness, but it requires so much more. This show explores the tools, knowledge, resilience, and skills needed to be ready when it matters the most. Join me Rich Browning as we apply the decades of wisdom I've gained through training and competition to hunting in the back country.
00:01:23
Speaker 3: This is In Pursuit, brought to you by Mount Knums in collaboration with Mayhem Hunt. All Right, hey, I actually have a question for the group.
00:01:38
Speaker 1: At what age does it become unacceptable to have Snapchat?
00:01:45
Speaker 3: Oh?
00:01:45
Speaker 5: This is Nate and Watkins. Hold its Nate.
00:01:53
Speaker 1: Or is it like when you get married you shouldn't have Snapchat? Yeah, that's for sure, right Yeah, Nah, he doesn't. Watkins doesn't want to get it.
00:02:02
Speaker 3: But I for sure, say thirty, I would have it if I was Watkins. But do you have Snapchat?
00:02:09
Speaker 1: No? Yeah, I just that was a discussion, I guess pull the audience to but you're.
00:02:15
Speaker 5: Old, You're like you act older than theodcast.
00:02:18
Speaker 3: No, I'm just married.
00:02:20
Speaker 2: Do what if you're married?
00:02:21
Speaker 3: Super sketch, What do you mean you shouldn't have it? Yeah? But oh oh I wasn't paying attention. I just I think. I don't know if I voted on yours, I voted on Nate's for sure anyway Nate, and which I I do.
00:02:43
Speaker 1: If you need an accountability partner, then yes, I think there is a way. I don't think snapchat is the way. Nate was saying that he needed needed to have Snapchat.
00:02:54
Speaker 2: He needed to have it?
00:02:55
Speaker 5: Or does he need to have it?
00:02:56
Speaker 2: What was his reasoning? No one.
00:03:03
Speaker 3: Is that good, so it would be easier for him to communicate with me.
00:03:09
Speaker 2: Like texting yeah versus senem a video. Non't understand that.
00:03:13
Speaker 3: I guess I just never so he can send a video to you. Yeah, Oh, all all you do is yeah, it's the same thing.
00:03:21
Speaker 2: It's well, I mean that, I mean, I guess I can understand a little bit.
00:03:24
Speaker 3: But you knows hit this plus number and camera.
00:03:26
Speaker 2: Well yeah, but if you're a camera and you have to go and delete it every single time Snapchat, you don't have to worry about deleting. I don't know, I can see.
00:03:32
Speaker 3: I guess I'm just that old that it doesn't matter.
00:03:34
Speaker 2: All right, Yeah, you are old.
00:03:36
Speaker 3: I am old. Accountability partners.
00:03:37
Speaker 1: We got Bird and Watkins or each other's accountability partners you and better a count of each other's accountability partner?
00:03:44
Speaker 3: Aren't you Scott?
00:03:45
Speaker 6: No, he left me since dream moved here?
00:03:48
Speaker 3: Oh? Has he on you?
00:03:49
Speaker 6: I'm I'm like a total second thought to him.
00:03:53
Speaker 3: Now are you that makes you feel anyway?
00:03:56
Speaker 6: Or no? I don't have feelings.
00:03:57
Speaker 3: Do you have an accountability partner like my workout account of a bit of partner lost him?
00:04:03
Speaker 5: Are we strictly talking about fitness?
00:04:05
Speaker 3: Yeah, fitness.
00:04:06
Speaker 2: I'm not talking about emotional stuff here, Come on, fitness.
00:04:11
Speaker 3: Do you have a spiritual accountability partner?
00:04:13
Speaker 5: Not really your wife? No, that's not usually not the best idea.
00:04:18
Speaker 2: Why wouldn't that be a good idea?
00:04:21
Speaker 1: It's probably not a good idea. I don't think I've ever had an accountability partner on anything fitness wise. When you're an addict, you don't have to have an you know, like you just get it done right. Yeah, you have a punching bag every once in.
00:04:38
Speaker 3: A while, which is Watkins right now, it's Watkins. He'll he'll flake out.
00:04:43
Speaker 1: In a couple of he's yours now, so he doesn't. I'm like, hey man, you'll work out later.
00:04:47
Speaker 3: He's like, and then I'll be fair. Then I'll see a post to you two.
00:04:52
Speaker 5: He hits in the afternoon. You he's already worked out with you in the morning.
00:04:58
Speaker 3: You guys dagged him walkins, just passing back and forth. All right, we got who is this effort?
00:05:07
Speaker 6: Matt Johnson.
00:05:07
Speaker 3: Matt Johnson, the old rapdo GHD man?
00:05:11
Speaker 2: I was he messed up?
00:05:13
Speaker 6: Had to have been now that, now that the dust has settled, Yeah, now the dust has settled, I think we should share the story of the because he's he said, hey, I would like to do.
00:05:23
Speaker 1: I liked, are there movements that you like to do that are CrossFit movements? He's a running specialist. He's an extremely good endurance runner. He says he dabbles in some CrossFit movements on Sunday and so I said, hey, are there any movements you would like to do in a workout?
00:05:42
Speaker 3: And he said ghds. Yeah.
00:05:46
Speaker 1: After the fact, he told Scott, and he usually does them in sets of.
00:05:49
Speaker 6: Like accessory like three sets of ten, four sets of ten.
00:05:53
Speaker 7: Way, we did a workout that was echo bike GHD Burpie echo bike one to one and I told him from the beginning that he should not be doing jhd's, which he did stop.
00:06:06
Speaker 1: He did stop, then went back to Yeah, but apparently he was pretty he doesn't like to quit.
00:06:12
Speaker 6: I'll give him credit.
00:06:12
Speaker 3: No good dude, no quitting him.
00:06:14
Speaker 6: And he never complained, but I know that he didn't feel good the next stay.
00:06:17
Speaker 2: I know he didn't feel good. Yeah.
00:06:20
Speaker 3: So some pretty good feedback on our one K list.
00:06:23
Speaker 1: I feel like it's a pretty practical list. Now we go to the five K list, the big spender list. We're not going to do a ten k because you if you can't figure out what to do.
00:06:33
Speaker 3: With ten k, why not? All right, let's do a ten k for this.
00:06:36
Speaker 6: Yeah, all right, it's basically like, hey, unlimited budget unlimited.
00:06:39
Speaker 1: Yeah, ten k's a lot, so all right. All of our stuff comes from Rogue Fitness. This is their price list. They do some like if you pick a certain amount of pieces you get you know, you're shipping off and all that.
00:06:50
Speaker 3: Type of stuff.
00:06:51
Speaker 1: So I obviously think completely biased and unbiased. It's the best equipment out there. So you can always go cheaper, but you can never go much better quality.
00:07:03
Speaker 3: For sure.
00:07:03
Speaker 2: So this list is great.
00:07:06
Speaker 3: Okays, is good? Really?
00:07:09
Speaker 5: Because your first one was not.
00:07:10
Speaker 2: This list is good. Yeah, that's your opinion.
00:07:12
Speaker 5: Anyways, everyone said your list was the worst.
00:07:15
Speaker 2: Everyone did everyone in here? Yeah, everyone in here, well they well, he pays them and you're mean to him, so of course he said your lists were good. Uh no, my list is. My list is baller.
00:07:29
Speaker 1: This is and I would like to say that those two, no matter if I paid them or not, are still going to give me.
00:07:37
Speaker 3: They're probably gonna give me the most ship up.
00:07:39
Speaker 2: Yeah, we need to speaking that. We need to change up Monday workout.
00:07:42
Speaker 1: Oh you kiss mine. They're already on me about one of the classic workouts. I was like, stop, I don't care what you guys say.
00:07:47
Speaker 3: We're done.
00:07:49
Speaker 2: Oh they were done. We're they're talking about that too.
00:07:51
Speaker 3: They was using cryptic, he's using cryptic.
00:07:54
Speaker 2: Uh yeah, memos, but you just spilled two consider a little dribble. Yeah, that's all right, say that for later.
00:08:01
Speaker 3: We're gonna make Angela go first in the first.
00:08:03
Speaker 5: If his list is so awesome.
00:08:05
Speaker 1: Dude, well to see, should we say the best for last or should we like no, let's start with it.
00:08:09
Speaker 2: You see why I think my list is the best is because this is roughly like what I have in my gym, because I probably put about five thousand dollars into my gym, and.
00:08:16
Speaker 3: I know how I use it, and I can do a lot of stuff.
00:08:19
Speaker 2: So that's why I'm saying I have a I'm I'm pretty sure this is really good. Okay, I'm just starting at the top this, so this is going to be in a weird order of like's not great.
00:08:28
Speaker 3: I need to cut them, so I have.
00:08:33
Speaker 2: I have a rogue high temp bumper set. I believe this is the tens fifteen, twenty five and forty fours.
00:08:40
Speaker 3: How much? How much weight?
00:08:42
Speaker 2: Uh? One night, I tell you it?
00:08:44
Speaker 3: One hundred ninety pounds.
00:08:46
Speaker 5: Well wait, this list is so awesome.
00:08:49
Speaker 1: Gosh, you are ninety pounds.
00:08:52
Speaker 3: So that's it I have.
00:08:55
Speaker 2: That's not counting the barbell, and I have another set of weight to the bottom.
00:08:58
Speaker 3: I'm sorry, two hundred and thirty, you've got two. Just put your sets of weights together. I did this list last week.
00:09:03
Speaker 2: I don't have it in my cart still to look at it.
00:09:06
Speaker 5: That doesn't matter.
00:09:07
Speaker 2: Just listen, Hey, we all just agreed that we took our list and then we added to Yeah, but.
00:09:12
Speaker 3: You could still fix your list, all right, keep going ahead.
00:09:15
Speaker 2: I have to rearrange my one hundred and ninety Just whatever, what are the other one.
00:09:19
Speaker 3: When I get that, I know you need to at least consolidate that. You can't be like, I got a one hundred and ninety pounds of weight.
00:09:25
Speaker 4: Here, I'm read one thing, I'm going done one thing, and you're like, yeah, pounds thing.
00:09:33
Speaker 2: The next thing could be the next set of plates.
00:09:35
Speaker 5: So you got two different kinds of plates.
00:09:37
Speaker 2: All right? The next oh, I got two different stacks of plates. This is one hundred ninety pound stack, and there's another stack.
00:09:44
Speaker 1: All right.
00:09:44
Speaker 2: Let me get to the second item. Then the second I might be the plates. The other plates you don't get there. The second item is a rogue slice sled.
00:09:51
Speaker 3: See you're just ruined it.
00:09:55
Speaker 2: Okay, the second item, I'll go down to the plates. The second item, there's more plates, is undred and sixty pounds set. So the one hundred and six pound set is the tens, the twenty fives and the forty five's high tim high tim because they just last longer. And then there is the ten fifteen. So I have two sets of tens, two pairs of tens.
00:10:12
Speaker 1: So one hundred and ninety plus one hundred and sixty you only have all three hundred and fifty pounds plus forty five pounds bar.
00:10:20
Speaker 3: Four hundred pounds of weight. You're four hundred pounds.
00:10:24
Speaker 1: Weight, man, I know you'll give me a critical It's four hundred punds enough for the yes you think so yes.
00:10:31
Speaker 5: I well to fit in this budget, I had to go a little lass pounded.
00:10:36
Speaker 2: Okay, deadlifting, dude, if you deadlift four or five, you're good like you need you need to go to a gym. If you're doubliting four or five for reps at your home gym, you probably need to go to a gym.
00:10:47
Speaker 3: No way, okay, keep going.
00:10:51
Speaker 2: Rogue slice sled.
00:10:52
Speaker 3: It doesn't even have three hundred or four hundred.
00:10:55
Speaker 2: And then a fold I have the wall mounted folding out the fold out rack I have that rack really has a poll bar on it.
00:11:02
Speaker 3: Is it the deeper one or the show deeper one?
00:11:04
Speaker 2: The deeper one? I well, no, no, no, I don't have the deeper one. I have deeper one on here because I would like to SUPs yep, and then I have I'm getting there though. I have the I have the weight vest and the plates ten pounds in the front, ten pounds the back. I have a box for box jumps, the twenty twenty four, thirty two the wood or thirty the wood box with three different sizes. I have one hundred and fifty pound sandbag. That's the one I would like to use the most. You could probably go for a hundred if that'd be the one you'd use the most. I probably wouldn't get the two hundred because if that's the only bag I had, I would not have the two hundred, that's my opinion. And then I have the Rogue Echo bike and rower package.
00:11:48
Speaker 3: Oh with both yeah smart.
00:11:50
Speaker 2: And then I have a pair of seventies dumbells, a pair of fifty pound dumbbells. I have a weight bench, just the flat one I have. I also have a so this is where I'm talking from my perspective. I have two pull up bars. Wow, I have too. I personally have too because one I can do a lot of other kiping movements. On the other one I can't. However, I did put that that's kind of probably a lapse a little not for me, because I can't I do strict on one. Well, actually I have a log on one of them, so mine's a little custom. But this is unnecessary. I kind of waste the money there. Now that I'm realizing that if I have a deeper rack, I don't, so I have to have another bar, and then the rogue bar' that's it. So you have a rack weights up to four hundred five pounds, which is not nearly enough weight for obviously the average.
00:12:42
Speaker 3: Man, I don't think so, not if you want to be harder to kill.
00:12:44
Speaker 2: And then one hundred and fifty pounds stam bag a sled which the slice sled the pin goes up and down, so you could load it with the bag and the weights or just the bag or the weights, dumbbells, bench box, rogue.
00:12:57
Speaker 3: Echo rower, and echo bite.
00:13:00
Speaker 2: So really that was kind of the biggest thing for me in the five thousand dollars range because that way I don't have to run every day. I can bike and row like you could have a three day rotation bike row run or whatever.
00:13:11
Speaker 3: You can trade and change it up a lot.
00:13:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, there it is.
00:13:17
Speaker 3: It's not bad. It's not bad.
00:13:20
Speaker 2: The pull up bar was was a miss on my part. That's a miss because my experience. That's where the what is it the what's the saying we fail in the margins of our experience or something I failed in the margins.
00:13:32
Speaker 6: Did I miss it? Are you dumb bell less?
00:13:33
Speaker 7: No?
00:13:34
Speaker 2: I have seventies and fifties and then in a bench too, so and then yeah, obviously that rack you can bench out of two with a bar, so that'd be good. I mean you only have four hundred five pounds a bench with, so not really enough. It's not enough, but you could you could do some like two barbells on there or just one, just one. You could do like some really light like sets of twenties or something that does.
00:13:55
Speaker 1: A miss on mine too. I think two barbells is underrated being able to do some stuff.
00:14:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, but having heavy dumbells you could do.
00:14:01
Speaker 3: Yeah, you could switch for the bench or whatever.
00:14:04
Speaker 2: Yeah, and then the bag too, So if you want to get your hinge, you can hinge with the bag or the or the barbell. Do the bench.
00:14:11
Speaker 3: Yeah, you could bench the bag. You got a lot of those and compete in h Yeah, sand bag bench press.
00:14:22
Speaker 2: Hey, you never know when you you might fall over, your pack may flip around your body fully loaded during the pack out and have to push it off you.
00:14:32
Speaker 1: Oh you don't have enough plates. If you want a sled push, well, I guess you could put your if I don't you want to do a bench or a barbell movement led push?
00:14:41
Speaker 3: I guess.
00:14:41
Speaker 2: I guess you're right. I don't have enough weights. If I want a deadlift four or five five plates.
00:14:46
Speaker 3: I got.
00:14:48
Speaker 2: To be fair.
00:14:48
Speaker 5: I have actually less plates than you are. Pretty frail, you fit budget, yes, but you could substitute a few things and you can put it.
00:15:01
Speaker 2: You can put the dumbells. Well, I guess that is an issue. If I wanted to do dumb bell deadlifts or double dumbell snatched the seventies deadlift four or five and sandbag cleans workout, then I can't Well, then I can't push the sled. True, that work out would suck it? Would you have to push up these sleds margins of your experience? That's where you just you gotta have your buddy. You gonna have your fitness accountability partner. Come sit on the sled. You could there?
00:15:26
Speaker 3: You go keep the post up too.
00:15:29
Speaker 2: Yeah?
00:15:30
Speaker 3: All right?
00:15:30
Speaker 2: What do you want the slice sled though?
00:15:32
Speaker 3: Yeah?
00:15:32
Speaker 2: The slice yeah you yeah?
00:15:37
Speaker 5: I want the dogs so the same things I had dog sled the sandbags.
00:15:42
Speaker 3: You're gonna have to go back over it.
00:15:44
Speaker 5: I have the dog sled from my first list sandbags. I have one hundred and one hundred and fifty pounds echo back.
00:15:51
Speaker 3: Big on you. You don't ever touch one fifty waste his money you need?
00:15:57
Speaker 5: Yeah, sood on squad. Well, I'll put one hundred and twenty five.
00:16:01
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you get under. I got got some crumb.
00:16:04
Speaker 3: Yeah, because you guys couldn't do that in that workout we did last week. You had to do that.
00:16:07
Speaker 5: Back was still tight after I have two pairs of dumbells already and I have a jump rope. I took my pull up bar. Did you go at first? I went thirty and fifty thirty not thirty five thirty five? Yeah, whatever, I took my pull up bar out. So now I added the HR two half rack with the extended height.
00:16:28
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, because you're tall, Because.
00:16:30
Speaker 5: It's like the only rack. That's what's HR two is that the it's like low and then the pull up bar goes.
00:16:38
Speaker 3: Is it a wall mount or it's a wall mount?
00:16:40
Speaker 2: Yeah, So I can see that being necessary for you because like the pull up the pull out.
00:16:44
Speaker 5: One is way too short for me, so I can't use it. Yeah, So that's eight hundred. I got a bench three hundred and twenty pounds of the echo colored plates.
00:16:55
Speaker 2: You're going to be weak forever.
00:16:58
Speaker 5: But this is like to get an Jain del DuPont Dainty.
00:17:01
Speaker 3: No, you got five thousand for the rest of.
00:17:03
Speaker 5: Your LOLd on, hold on. I did get the bike from I got the bike Rode Combo as well. That's which what was the price on the sixteen forty.
00:17:13
Speaker 2: That's good, that's a good deal.
00:17:15
Speaker 5: Yeah, which if you wanted more weight, you could not get the rower. I would get the bike first.
00:17:23
Speaker 2: Yeah, I would get the bike first for sure. Yeah. Like that was like the first thing I want to see. And then I saw the package. I'm like, oh, I'm yeah, I.
00:17:29
Speaker 5: Got rogue bar and then this one too. I just put on there because if they're doing Mayhem hunt, I think it's good to have a ruck.
00:17:38
Speaker 3: Yeah, So I put an actual ruck with and expensive.
00:17:43
Speaker 5: It's R sixty five. And then I got two twenty pound plates. Yeah for one.
00:17:49
Speaker 2: Well, you see the thing about the ru like, if you're trying to do.
00:17:51
Speaker 3: It, Angel doesn't have enough weight to put it in his ruck.
00:17:54
Speaker 5: I don't.
00:17:56
Speaker 3: I don't either. Well.
00:17:57
Speaker 2: The thing that I actually thought about what we were talking about this last time, like if you have a hearty backpack, not even really if you wear the vest and then you just want to get a little more weight, you could put a few books in a backpack and have like twenty more pounds and then you're at forty pounds pound plate.
00:18:10
Speaker 3: Yeah, ten pound. I mean I don't have enough plate to spare.
00:18:12
Speaker 2: It's sure you guys don't, but uh, it would be a that's a great idea. I should think about that for that.
00:18:18
Speaker 5: But like I would rather do like Murph with the rug than a vest. So it's tough to do with your backpack.
00:18:26
Speaker 3: So I then you have to do full depth push ups. You can't do those a little.
00:18:29
Speaker 5: Cool I do like having an actual ruck, yeah, and like that's almost every Thursday as well.
00:18:37
Speaker 2: Yeah so yeah, and then you're doing the hybrid, so you're rocking.
00:18:41
Speaker 5: Once a week at least two miles on Tuesday.
00:18:44
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, so that's it.
00:18:47
Speaker 2: It's like hybrid.
00:18:48
Speaker 5: It's like mine was like forty nine.
00:18:50
Speaker 3: Eighty eight for Conquer ninety and I still don't have access to it.
00:18:52
Speaker 6: Really.
00:18:53
Speaker 3: I tried it on here. Yeah, let's see, let me see, I don't have it. Keep going burn, that's it. That's it.
00:18:59
Speaker 5: Forty nine eighty six.
00:19:00
Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't see anything on here.
00:19:02
Speaker 5: Some of those were big ticket items.
00:19:03
Speaker 3: Yeah, those were big ticket items, all right.
00:19:07
Speaker 1: I went Echo Vest Echo Best Plates. I went Dumbbells seventies, fifties, thirty fives. I got my sandbag at one fifty. I got my feedsack one. I have the flat bench. I want Echo bike. After listening to your guys' list, I was trying not to adjust my list. I do like the combo Echo and Row, so that was a miss on one.
00:19:33
Speaker 3: But you could switch some stuff out.
00:19:35
Speaker 1: I have the RML three W fold wall mount rack Rogue six hundred bucks. I have the Ohio stainless bar. I would like to get stronger in my life, so I have a five hundred pounds, but I didn't realize it doesn't have fives or two and a half's, which you do need.
00:19:52
Speaker 3: There's a little bit of that's a miss there. I have the Rogue dog sled.
00:19:57
Speaker 1: I like the versatility of the dog sled, able to push it from either side.
00:20:01
Speaker 3: You can hook to it. I think that one's a little.
00:20:03
Speaker 1: Like I know, but I just I like the I like the dogs.
00:20:08
Speaker 2: Like better and take the pins out or spin.
00:20:10
Speaker 3: It is nice. I have a dip belt. I like the dip belt. I use it quite a bit.
00:20:16
Speaker 1: I don't like to like hang on to whatever with my feet. These are just like little add ons. I have the one hundred pound Jerry Can bags.
00:20:22
Speaker 3: Big fan of those.
00:20:24
Speaker 2: So you have two three one hund sand bags.
00:20:27
Speaker 1: Basically, yeah, I'll put a climbing rope on there.
00:20:32
Speaker 3: Climbing rope, I left that out. And I have a jump rope. Yeah, of course you did. And I have a jump rope.
00:20:41
Speaker 2: Okay, the climb rope makes me want to bring this up now because I said this.
00:20:44
Speaker 3: Earlier about how bag boards.
00:20:46
Speaker 2: I think peg boards are more functional than a rope climb because boards.
00:20:52
Speaker 3: Would you peg board? But is it? Is it in the hybrid put it in the hybrid track?
00:20:58
Speaker 5: Sure, I'll do it, trick and do it. I would rather pegboard than rope climb.
00:21:03
Speaker 2: Can you pegboard?
00:21:04
Speaker 3: Probably?
00:21:04
Speaker 4: Not?
00:21:04
Speaker 1: Me? And Ben threw down on This was about six months a year ago, and how Ben said he would never do another one again. And we walked out there and I wrote a work out with pegboards and he did it.
00:21:16
Speaker 6: Why do you say it's more functional than a rope climb?
00:21:18
Speaker 2: I think, because I do. I think it's more similar to a climbing something. I understand that you're keeping something in your hand, but let's just say the pegs are they're all set, you would be climbing up it as if you're climbing like a tree or a face of a rock. And when in nature, are you just gonna have a nice rope that you can lack you can clamp your feet on and stand up on like that ain't never gonna happen.
00:21:43
Speaker 3: The thing I say would.
00:21:44
Speaker 5: Be most legless legless rope climb.
00:21:46
Speaker 2: Still, No, I mean when you if I can use my legs at all, like I have something dangling there that I can grab, why wouldn't I? I say the most functional upper body pulling movement would probably be a bar muscle up, because you could easily find yourself hanging from something and having to get up on top. Bend said he found himself in that situation, and everyone thought it was cool that you could that he could muscle up like you have a like he was in a bar and you said.
00:22:11
Speaker 3: It was like a do you muscle up?
00:22:15
Speaker 7: No?
00:22:17
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's cool, So I know I.
00:22:21
Speaker 5: Cant hear get like this pinch.
00:22:28
Speaker 2: When you musle up.
00:22:32
Speaker 5: Get this, so I just don't do it.
00:22:39
Speaker 6: I think peg board is only functional, more functional, most functional if you do a lot of very aggressive mountaineering.
00:22:47
Speaker 3: We've been there.
00:22:48
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, No, for sure, I'm saying compared just to a roke, I'm not saying like overall upper body, I think that is a bar muscle up. Chin up of course is right there too, But a bar muscleup would be just getting lifting body weight up over something like a ledge or he.
00:23:04
Speaker 1: To ask whatever Bouche if he has any of that footage from that first year met him and Steven.
00:23:08
Speaker 2: We did and.
00:23:09
Speaker 1: We got to the end of a ridge and it literally just cliff faced around and like idiots, we muscle your way up, went like welded around. Oh you, I mean you go down, You're falling, sketch.
00:23:23
Speaker 6: You guys all left very or I guess you didn't leave it off, but I think that you all made a mistake on your list. Going back to the very original video, we did.
00:23:34
Speaker 2: No kettlebells, no, no, no.
00:23:37
Speaker 6: What I would have done is I would have one of the same pull up bar you guys said in a thousand dollars one whichever when you prefer the ceiling or wall depending on your gym setup, and then get a yoke and use the yoke as your rack. You can also store weights on it, but then you can use it as a yoke. You can put a sandbag over it, you can burpy over it.
00:23:59
Speaker 3: Yeah, holds with it.
00:24:01
Speaker 6: It's basically a functional squat rack.
00:24:03
Speaker 2: Yeah, six hundred bucks.
00:24:05
Speaker 6: I don't know what the cost comes out to compared to the.
00:24:08
Speaker 1: The wall mount one is six hundred bucks. And I think the pull up bar just hanging from the ceiling was like a hundred maybe. Yeah, so Angel already has that, so he could have just kept that and switched.
00:24:17
Speaker 2: Yet I could have switched out. It could easily make that So you can also like push a yoke too. Yeah, there's so much with it. I have done that. I pushed it.
00:24:24
Speaker 1: Overhead holds are great with him too, just for some holder shoulder shoulder health type.
00:24:31
Speaker 2: It was a good one, Scott, what is what is what I have thought about though, is you could put that pullup bar. I want to do this and take that pull barn. I want to do this at the fire department. Never did, but you could hang one of them outside and you have a pull bar outside, Like if I if I just let's say, in the world that I live in right now, I have that rack, and I already had the pull bar, so when I got the rack, could have taken the pullit bar out and brought it outside.
00:24:56
Speaker 3: So like during the summertime, I'd have.
00:24:57
Speaker 2: A pull bar because I already had it, and so I would just take it outside and if I wanted to do an outside workout, I could get out in the elements. You know, he wanted to bring his rock and get my sled out there. I mean, I know I don't have enough weight open the garage door. I don't have a garage. I have a basement.
00:25:12
Speaker 3: Yeah, don't you have a runner downstairs?
00:25:15
Speaker 2: Yeah? I have it all. I think, I think. I like to think I don't obviously have enough weight for you, but I don't think so. I don't have enough weight for what you would like to do.
00:25:27
Speaker 3: But I just like to have the option if I want to lift heavy that day I want to get to five.
00:25:31
Speaker 2: Hundred, I do, but I mean, yeah, it is you have two bars or no?
00:25:34
Speaker 1: No, I was looking at it. I kind of would like to have two bars. I do like some double barbell workouts.
00:25:41
Speaker 2: I like to Yeah, that is, that is that would be a good reason to have over five hundred.
00:25:45
Speaker 1: But if we're at a limited you know, limited budget here, Yeah, I don't really look at anything other than like Scott saying, you could, I could switch out my walmount rack and then get some type of pull up bar climbing rope.
00:26:00
Speaker 3: Probably not necessary. I was just like, I kind of like it.
00:26:02
Speaker 6: I like the rope is fun.
00:26:05
Speaker 1: Yeah, I like to have a rope, But that was seventy seven dollars. It's not that big, Like, it's not high ticket item that I can Then I could even attach it to my sled and drag it.
00:26:15
Speaker 6: The only thing with the climbing rope is you need to have the right house set up.
00:26:18
Speaker 3: To have a right house set up, you gotta have a good tree.
00:26:23
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I feel like most people have like a good tree or Yeah, I've seen videos of people doing that, just hanging in a tree.
00:26:30
Speaker 3: I actually did that at my my parents' house.
00:26:32
Speaker 2: We hung a rope in the tree, like a twenty five foot rope.
00:26:35
Speaker 3: My first house. We had that. Hmmm, all right, I don't know what else what else we.
00:26:43
Speaker 5: Got the pull up bar on the yoke though, is pretty short.
00:26:48
Speaker 2: Yeah, you can get the get the taller one, and it's a thick bar and if you weigh it down you can do.
00:26:55
Speaker 6: But I was saying, on the yo I'm pretty sure, I'm pretty sure they have a.
00:26:59
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, the nice ones where you can flip one.
00:27:03
Speaker 1: You know, you can turn upside down and you couldn't bar muscle up. But Bird's not gonna.
00:27:10
Speaker 3: Because he gets a little pinch, a little pinch, man.
00:27:15
Speaker 2: I guess I should I should we should mention that Conchernighty is live live live.
00:27:21
Speaker 3: You're how many days then four Bird day?
00:27:26
Speaker 2: Four Bird and Walkins have been.
00:27:29
Speaker 5: And then you also have the keep going on, bring back.
00:27:31
Speaker 3: Jason Nichols is in. I've been in here at the barn, yeah, he he evenings and mornings.
00:27:35
Speaker 2: He told Laura. He said, man, these workouts suck. He goes, del angel Is, this sucks. I thought I'd have a six back when I She goes, it's been three days. I ain't gonna keep doing this six back. She goes, it's been three days.
00:27:49
Speaker 3: Uh yeah, I'm gonna have to keep on him. When we're at the race.
00:27:52
Speaker 1: The Lemon's Race can work out, Yeah, I always bring a rower, dumbbells, sand bag. Uh.
00:27:57
Speaker 2: No, it's been good. I mean I have done I've been following it too. I mean I've been doing like obviously the four to forty and the Concher Nighty all together.
00:28:04
Speaker 3: What I said, I can't, you can't what I can't follow it? I don't have it as I mean.
00:28:09
Speaker 2: Well, to be to be fair, I not all my workouts come from the Conqueror Nightty track.
00:28:16
Speaker 3: A lot of programming anyway.
00:28:18
Speaker 2: A lot of what I do, and then obviously what you do, because I take a lot of your workouts. Is I'm testing stuff, uh or that will go on later on? All right, Ben, alright, I'm testing stuff that will go on later on. So I go back and forth of doing some I mean, Watkins did one a couple of weeks ago. We'll post a video of big Wall walk workout. It was horrible. Yeah, And you guys are you're consistently following the hybrid track. How's it going so far? Is it good?
00:28:45
Speaker 3: Or am I should I rethink everything over?
00:28:47
Speaker 5: It's good? I mean it's running.
00:28:49
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a lot of running. He goes, is it running every day? Like? It's a lot of running.
00:28:53
Speaker 2: It's four days a week.
00:28:54
Speaker 5: I mean it's almost been a five k yeah, almost every day.
00:28:58
Speaker 3: Yeah, I should run often as in every day. Yeah, gotta get ready for March. That's right running.
00:29:05
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's perfect.
00:29:06
Speaker 5: And well we'll all be at Western but you are doing a workout.
00:29:10
Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll do Yeah, we'll all be there at.
00:29:14
Speaker 3: Coalt Lake City, Utah. February fifteenth, fourteenth, thirteenth, Yeah.
00:29:19
Speaker 2: Thirteenth, February thirteenth, Friday, February thirteenth, seven pm.
00:29:23
Speaker 5: So we're doing out's Friday night.
00:29:24
Speaker 2: Yeah, we're doing it Friday, Friday night light workout at Ute CrossFit. We did that instead of the Saturday morning. We have to come back here early Saturday. So we're going to do a Friday night workout. We will have a link to that either in description or live at least on our Instagram. Will have that to sign up for show up. Yeah, there's a fifty person limit, so we have to have that was what the gym gave as a limit. So we have to have a sign up and then when it fills up, it's it's full. So I believe there should be wait lists, so like if someone were to decline and then you can go back and then it'll there's just a running fifty. There's people as as many as we can handle, and then we'll just program to make it to where he's like, hey, it doesn't we can fit up to fifty. Just kind of have to be picky choosing on the program. And like we've run what is that class we ran with in Scotland?
00:30:12
Speaker 1: We ran like a bunch like eight hundred people over one hundred people.
00:30:17
Speaker 2: Yeah, so I'm like we can handle fifty.
00:30:19
Speaker 1: Yeah.
00:30:19
Speaker 2: Uh so it be a good time if you are going to be there. February thirteenth, seven pm.
00:30:24
Speaker 5: Sign How do you sign up for it?
00:30:25
Speaker 2: We have it. We'll have an event bright link. We'll put it either an description or at least on our Instagram. So may I'm on Instagram. We'll for sure be there. See we'll find us at Western Yeah, we'll be at Western Hunt all day on Friday. We'll be at WTF Nashville on Thursday and then fly from there to Salt Lake City. I won't give you our flight information. I don't want you to hijack the plane or anything.
00:30:47
Speaker 5: So whether or not bookchet either, we.
00:30:53
Speaker 3: Don't want anyone to know that, all right, that's my that's my plug.
00:30:58
Speaker 6: There's uh, there's one other new piece of news. Uh. We didn't draw any tags.
00:31:03
Speaker 3: We did not draw any Idaho tags.
00:31:06
Speaker 2: Not not anyone here anyways. Yeah, Hatfield's only one and he drew both, drew both here and Elk. And we had four more groups of people and no one drew anything else.
00:31:19
Speaker 3: He drew both of them.
00:31:20
Speaker 1: So anybody's got a good spot, yeah, and wants to hang out with some fit dudes, message me on Instagram, Elk or mule Deer, preferably archery. But you can take a week ye yeah, anywhere but Colorado.
00:31:35
Speaker 3: Yeah, currently yep, because we have a good spot in Colorado.
00:31:39
Speaker 2: Uh, and we're going I mean we're getting some cool stuff lined up right now currently for hunts this year. I'm excited for what we got moving. Maybe we won't say anything, but.
00:31:48
Speaker 5: You can't reapply.
00:31:49
Speaker 2: Yeah, we can reapply in February. Well, the people who got drawn and who were drawn and didn't are not accepting it.
00:31:55
Speaker 3: Couldn't find their email. Yeah, I couldn't find the backfield film. So that's cool.
00:32:02
Speaker 2: This is our first year doing it, so I guess they're kind of figuring it out.
00:32:06
Speaker 3: First year doing a draw?
00:32:07
Speaker 2: Yeah, what else, Scott?
00:32:10
Speaker 3: Do you think that's it?
00:32:14
Speaker 2: Okay, all right, let's do a power.
00:32:17
Speaker 3: Let us know how bad we did.
00:32:19
Speaker 1: Ten k coming up next week at
