Video: Elk Violently Dies Falling off Waterfall

As we saw in last week’s video of an eagle drowning a fawn, only nature can be this beautiful and cruel at the same time.

In this vid, a hunter captures some incredible footage of a cow elk falling to its death in New Zealand. (Yes, there are Rocky Mountain elk in New Zealand—Teddy Roosevelt sent them to the Kiwis as a gift in 1905). In a followup video, the hunter explains why he was in this area, why he roared at the elk, and why he didn’t have a knife or gun.

As Cal’s favorite band TLC would say, “Don’t go chasing waterfalls.” I’m not even sure how that applies to this video—I just wanted to tell you that Cal loves ‘90s R&B.
