MeatEater Glossary: Pinch Point

Pinch Point \ˈpinch ˈpȯint\
noun

A terrain or habitat feature that forces deer movement into a smaller area. Features such as this are some of the best places to hunt deer during the rut, as they concentrate deer movement into narrow areas where hunters can take advantage.

Kenyon: “The small strip of timber between these two open fields makes a perfect pinch point that bucks will be traveling through this month.”
