Turkeys in the Rockies have a certain tone to their gobble, almost like a yodel. They will lure you over mountains and into deep valleys. This hunt wasn’t without its difficulties, but the payoff is so sweet. Hiking miles in the mountains only to call in a gobbler to 10 yds is as good as it gets.
