Ever get sick of sitting in the same place every day during deer season? Check out this trailer-mounted deer blind that was recently photographed by the father of MeatEater crew member Janis Putelis. The Michigan-based owner of the blind bought the grain trailer for a dollar. He and his buddies fitted it out with heat, a stove, and silent sliding windows. They haul it around with a tractor, and like to set it out in swampy area on their 600-acre property that fills up with deer that get pressured off a neighbor’s farm during gun season. Any points these guys loose for toughness, they make up for with ingenuity. Brings out my home-state Michigan pride.
