This is my son, Jim, enjoying his first ever bit of meat the other night. I minced some rib meat from the blacktail buck that I killed on Prince of Wales Island (the original free-range organic) and then mashed it in my mortar and pestle. Then I stirred that into some pureed sweet potato that my wife prepared. The little guy loved it. I’m convinced that that experience will make a lifelong hunter out of him.
